Creative Writing
Using Google Education, we will write some stories from start to finish! Students are welcome to work collaboratively or independently. We will write, illustrate, and share “choose your own adventure” stories.
Table Top Role-Paying Games/Dungeons and Dragons
Take your first steps into a world of imagination! Learn the ins-and-outs of tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, and more! Students will walk through the steps of character creation, gameplay, and mechanics, from start to finish, in an original campaign.
Improv
Learn to work with a group to create scenes from a mere suggestion. Through games (some competitive), small group and large group activities you’ll learn to think on your feet and trust your instincts. This will culminate in a performance at the end of the week
Ukelele
In this ukulele crash course, you will learn proper care, tuning, and strumming. We will also learn some popular songs for all occasions
Applied Practical Life Skills
“Why can’t I get a that new iPhone?!” Using Google Education we learn to make good financial decisions by researching and comparing costs in a Google Spreadsheet. Students are welcome to work collaboratively or independently. We will share our takeaways and new understanding with the rest of the class as our session progresses.
Acting Fundamentals
Learn to build a character using voice and movement, and how to tell a compelling story. Through training exercises, monologues, and 2-3 person scenes, you’ll learn how to bring a written character to life
Create Your Comic
Craft your own original comics! Learn the art of storytelling through graphics. Skills learned will include storytelling techniques and use of art markers to create illustrations.
